Boots To Bibs

My name is Olivia Horn, and I am currently serving as a Military Police First Lieutenant in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Since I was young, I always wanted to contribute to my community. Whether it was teaching middle school in Springfield, Massachusetts, or deploying to Baghdad, Iraq with the 1-181 Infantry Battalion, I still want to do more. Now, I have the pleasure of running the marathon on behalf of the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund, another organization who gives back to some of their bravest and most valuable patrons... FIREFIGHTERS! The BFDRF has numerous initiatives contributing to our Boston FireFighters with receiving Body Scans for cancer prevention, Scholarships to the Children of the Relief Fund, assist with active and retired members of the Boston Fire Department, to restore the Vendome memorial, and lastly to help our Boston FireFighters in time of need. This is quite an honor and I am beyond excited to further support this organization that takes care of Boston's bravest.
